While many of the Elves of Eriador settled in one of the many havens, Gildor Inglorion chose to make his home in the wilds of the north. As these lands are no longer the safe place they once were, Gildor has vowed to watch out for travelers in these lands to guide them to safety. Indeed, Gildor's gifts are well suited to this task: he and his kin are fast, fast enough even to keep up with a horse over short distances.
Possibly the greatest warrior residing in Rivendell, Glorfindel's skill and speed with the sword are unmatched by any elf of the Third Age, including Lord Elrond. Even the feared Nazgûl recoil from the powerful Elven lord and dare not confront him openly, opting only to challenge him when all nine are united under the Witch King's command.
Frodo and his Hobbit companions encountered these two mighty elven heroes on their journey to Rivendell. Glorfindel rode Asfaloth in great haste from the Last Hobbit House to help Aragorn lead the Hobbits to safety, so he is depicted in light traveling clothing rather than full armor.
The set contains three metal miniatures: Glorfindel on foot and mounted, supplied with a Citadel 25mm round base and a Citadel 40mm round base, and Glidor, supplied with a Citadel 25mm round base.
