While the merit of this has never been proven, with their ugly appearance, inability to speak, and strange strength, it is easy to see how the Mahûd tribes have come to this conclusion. The exceptional strength these creatures possess can splinter shields and break swords, making it impossible to parry their blows at close range. Since strength is held in high esteem within the Mahûd tribes, Half Trolls occupy a special place within Mahûd culture: their lack of wit or cunning necessary to fully ascend to power ensures their acceptance by the Mahûd kings and Tribesmasters.
