In the most isolated places of Middle-earth, the dead walk, bound to this world by sorcery or curse. Almost all undead beings are in the service of Sauron, who forged their immortal existence. When Elendil marched against Sauron, his son, Isildur, arrived at Dwimorberg and promised its inhabitants to help them against the forces of Mordor.
