One of the many specialized castes of cyborg warriors available to the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Pteraxii, are optimized for instinctive reaction and agility. Pteraxii reflexes are accentuated by cutting out cogitation elements that impede its main function. After additional limbs (upper scapula) are implanted on their backs, a series of thrusters and reactive lives are connected to them. The flight thrusters become part of the Pteraxii, which serve in various roles. Skystalkers find optimal vantage points from which to choose their targets, whether isolated targets on the battlefield or savage psychic familiars and servo-cherubs, with volleys of razor-sharp flechettes. Pteraxii Skystalkers are armed with flechette carbines, allowing them to unleash a devastating storm of solid fire upon their enemies from a safe distance. The Alpha unit is equipped with a flechette blaster and a taser wand. They offer excellent support against infantry fire, but also carry a pack of voltaic grenades that they can throw into the enemy as they rise above.
This kit can alternatively be used to build a unit of Pteraxii Sterylizors, meaning that regardless of which unit you build, you'll end up with plenty of spare parts to customize your collection. This kit is supplied in 115 plastic parts and is supplied with 5 Citadel 40mm round bases and flying poles. Also included is an Adeptus Mechanicus sticker sheet.
