The Assault Ballista were carried on wheels and fired large bolts, twice the size of a man, over the battlements, and had thick ropes attached to them that allowed siege ladders to be lifted effortlessly. Of course, a weapon of such power is just as useful when aimed at the enemy, where the bolt can tear through ranks of warriors or fell an Ent with a single hit.
