Sired by the noble lords of Dale, Bard is a descendant of Girion and heir to the rule of Dale. After the death of the Dragon, Smaug, Bard took his rightful place as leader of the Lake Men. Proving to be a leader as noble as his ancestors, Bard travels to Erebor to seek a just settlement of the dwarves to rebuild the homes of his people. However, Bard finds himself in the middle of a battle against the legions of Azog. Demonstrating his skill in combat, Bard's efforts at the Battle of the Five Armies inspire his followers to tap into reserves of courage that only a few knew they possessed.
Bard is a skilled warrior and one of the greatest archers of Men. Whether armed with a sword and his trusty bow or aiming a wind spear, he is a powerful and versatile hero.
