Biovores are living pieces of artillery, bloated by the explosive spore mines they feed inside their bodies. Anchoring itself to the ground with chitinous spurs, a Biovore undergoes violent spasms that expel its volatile young in high arcs like live ammunition. From there, gas-filled spore mines detonate in a shower of bone fragments and acid rain, or float limply toward the battlefield, ready to explode whenever the prey approaches.
This multi-part plastic kit builds a Biovore, a sentient Tyranid mortar, as well as three floating spore mines. The Biovore's heavy form holds a symbiotic dorsal launcher, whose spore sac is packed with biological explosives waiting to be fired. Spore mines can be launched onto the battlefield by the Biovore or simply fall from the sky. The kit offers several alternative leg stances and base items for Biovore, as well as three different Spore Mine designs, allowing you to maintain variety in your brood while building a full battery of artillery beasts.
The Biovore in this kit can also be built as a Pyrovore, a fire-breathing tyranid creature.
This kit consists of 37 plastic components and comes with one Citadel 80mm round base and 3 Citadel 25mm round bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly.
