The Cerberus is a rare variant of the Spartan chassis that uses its massive hull to mount a prototype neutron laser projector, as well as the sizable arc reactors and radiation shielding needed to operate the weapon. The neutron laser is little known to adepts of the Mechanicum, but it is among the most effective anti-tank weapons available to the Space Marine Legions, capable of piercing the strongest armor and short-circuiting its target's systems with bursts of radiation. The terrible toll the Cerberus takes on its crew is considered by many commanders to be a necessary cost, as this impressive tank can threaten even Titan-class opponents.
This multi-part plastic kit builds a Legion Cerberus, a massive tank capable of laying waste to even the largest targets. Its armored hull is dominated by the three-barrel neutron laser battery that gives the tank its name, but you'll also find plenty of options for auxiliary weapons. The Cerberus sports a pair of sponson-mounted weapons: heavy bolters, heavy flamers, lascannons, or volkite culverins, which can be assembled without glue to adjust their position as you see fit.
The kit also includes components to upgrade the Cerberus with a pivot-mounted weapon: a Havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multifuse, or a combination weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, fusion, plasma or volkite) – as well as a searchlight, a hunter-killer missile, and cosmetic options like tow hooks, icons for loyalists and traitors, and the option of a Space Marine gunner, spotter, or closed hatch.
This kit consists of 221 plastic components and is supplied with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 44 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus Legions and the Imperial Fists. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly.
