The Sacristan Engineers of the Sacred Chambers come from the Ordinatus Conclave, sometimes known as the Lightning Conclave for the devastating effect it can have in battle. These warrior-engineers control the chambers' magical field artillery. When setting up a Celestar Ballista to defend a sacred site, getting too close can mean explosive death. Its rune-inscribed projectiles are filled with spirals of stray lightning that descend from the top of a Sigmarabulum and launch as bolts of blue-white energy towards the enemy. If their attack is true, they will pass through the target in a chain explosion of arcane force.
Designed to be as easy as possible for new hobbyists to assemble while still being detailed enough for the toughest veterans to appreciate, this kit assembles one Celestar Ballista, manned by 2 Stormcast Eternals Sacristan Engineers. Snap fit, with no glue required, this kit is incredibly easy to put together and comes in pre-colored gold plastic.
The Sacristan Ballista is a powerful launcher, which sits on a tripod and is assisted by 2 Sacristan Engineers. The Ballista itself is aggressive and a bit spartan, effectively a large armored crossbow. At the front there are 4 barrels, which launch runic bolts, with armor plates with a lion motif and inscriptions. From above, the loading mechanisms are visible: instead of directly firing the unstable energy-filled bolts, cartridges are used to load the artillery into the ballista. Engineers are armed with sigmarite blades, although this is not their main equipment: they have measuring equipment, compasses, and cartridges, all used to calibrate, load, and fire the Ballista. There is one Engineer with a helmet and 1 without a helmet; both have the iconography of the Sacrosanct Chamber. Additional details are included for the base, with an ammunition box filled with cartridges and another box filled with spare instruments.
This kit consists of 17 components and includes a Stormcast Eternals transfer sheet, a Citadel 60mm Round base, and 2 Citadel 40mm Round bases.
