The Gauls were large, muscular and strong and were fearsome adversaries. Their clothing was woven from wool and, if you were a wealthy warrior, was often decorated with stripes or checkered patterns. Ornate jewelry, such as torcs, was a feature of the Gallic tribes and the scabbards and swords were beautifully crafted.
