Gandalf, one of the Istari, has been sent to Middle-earth to see to it that Sauron falls once and for all, though he is there to guide the people of Middle-earth rather than accomplish it himself. Over the years, Gandalf has become very fond of the Shire and the Hobbits who reside there, seeing them for the extraordinary creatures they truly are. After discovering the Ring in the Shire, Gandalf sets out to formulate a plan to destroy it and finally defeat the Evil of Sauron.
On the battlefield, Gandalf the Gray can use several useful magical powers. He's also an incredibly versatile hero, with the option of a horse and a unique chariot-shaped mount.
