While the natives of the Iron Islands technically bow the knee to whoever sits on the Iron Throne, the Ironborn are taking full advantage of the chaos in Westeros to raid its shores and shipping like never before. The Ironborn are not an army dedicated to prolonged engagements, but rather a fast-moving force created to subdue enemies and inflict as much damage as possible before disappearing into the Dusk Sea from whence they came. In an age of conflict and internecine warfare, the only true victors are those who take most of the spoils, and the Ironborn are made to do exactly that.
