This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat. Fuselage length: 398 mm, Maximum wingspan: 408 mm. Engineered with access to real F-14A Tomcats for superlative accuracy. Features a moving representation of a variable sweep wing. 2 sets of parts, interchangeable after completion, represent sealing plates and airbags with wings in fully swept and fully forward positions. Slip molding was used to ensure a highly realistic canopy, air intake side and fuselage side sections. The polyethylene covers allow the movement of horizontal stabilizers. The model offers a variety of parts to represent the engine's afterburning nozzles open or closed. Separate parts are included to represent the fuel probe to the right of the nose and the ladder to the left. It comes with two US marking schemes and one for the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.
