The Haradrim come from the southernmost lands of Middle-earth, where the landscape is dominated by snake-infested plains and arid deserts. They are a cruel race of Men, their hearts long hardened by the weight of a bloody history and their fate irrevocably linked to that of Sauron. While not subject to his rule like many of his vassals, they choose to fight alongside his armies out of enmity with Gondor. When the Haradrim put aside their petty squabbles and unite under one banner, they do so in numbers that rival the armies of Mordor. Swarms of lightly armored warriors descend upon their enemies, riddling them to death with poisoned arrows or attacking them with long barbed spears. What they lack in terms of skill and training, Harad's men make up for in barbaric cruelty. Among these evil men are the Captains and heralds of Harad, those who have fought for the Dark Lord Sauron for many years and who now lead his armies into battle, inspiring their companions to fight harder and stronger than ever.
