The Spartan Assault Tank is a massive armored transporter, designed to carry a large contingent of troops into the heart of enemy lines, withstanding weapons fire that would be the death of any smaller vehicle. Protected by a sealed casing of legendarily durable plates, the Spartan's carrying capacity exceeds anything but a true super-heavy transporter, while retaining impressive speed on the battlefield. Its quad laser cannons make the Spartan a fearsome tank destroyer, while its secondary weaponry allows it to knock infantry out of its way. The Spartan occupies pride of place in the armories of many Legions, its presence limited only by its sheer scale.
This multi-part plastic kit builds a Spartan Assault Tank, an imposing and indomitable transport vehicle. The Spartan is armed with two sets of sponson-mounted lascannons, as well as a dual-link hull-mounted weapon: your choice of heavy bolter, heavy flamer, or lascannon. Both the sponsons and the front transport ramp can be assembled without glue, allowing you to adjust their position and expose the Spartan's detailed internal bay as you see fit. The kit also includes components to upgrade the Spartan with a pivot-mounted weapon: a Havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-fusion or a combination weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, fusion, plasma or volkite) – as well such as a searchlight, a hunter-killer missile, and cosmetic options such as tow hooks, a dozer blade, icons for Loyalists and Traitors, and a Space Marine gunner, spotter, or closed hatch option.
This kit consists of 213 plastic components and is supplied with a Legiones Astartes vehicle transfer sheet containing 44 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus Legions and the Imperial Fists. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly.
