The M36 uniform was the staple of the Wehrmacht infantry in World War II, in gray field cloth with a green collar. However, as the war continued and simpler designs were required, other uniforms became increasingly common. Likewise, the style of the boots was also going to evolve. The soldiers carried equipment such as bags, gas mask case, canteen, shovel and rounds; infantry received the Kar98k rifle or an MG34/MG42 machine gun, and non-commissioned officers received the MP40 machine gun. Non-commissioned officers and machine gunners also carried a pistol.
This is a 1/48 scale plastic figure model assembly kit. Ten figures are included in this complete set, including a non-commissioned officer scanning the field, a marching gunner, seated infantry, and more. A host of accessories include realistic representations of Kar98k rifles, MG34 and MG42 machine guns, MP40 submachine guns and more. It can be used in conjunction with one of the many 1/48 military miniatures series kits to make a realistic diorama.
